Qube Impact Investment Group
Private Equity Portfolios
We pride ourselves on our academic-centric approach to investing.
Since 2000, Qube has been balancing traditional research techniques with modern portfolio science, allowing our team to find companies that demonstrate and maintain solid investing fundamentals. In 2020, using these same techniques, Qube began evaluating private companies and real estate assets. All with an emphasis on finding private investment opportunities with long-term upside.
We look for stable assets that can be improved or amalgamated to grow revenue and efficiency. By focusing on precise operational planning, the focus is on increasing our investments bottom line in order to deliver returns to our investors over a 5-10 year investment horizon.
All investors of Qube Private Equity are required to be Accredited Investors pursuant to NI 45-106. Minimum investment required is $250,000 of non-registered funds.
Social Impact Portfolio
When an investor participates in a social impact portfolio, they join other investors to fund the purchase of apartment buildings. QPE manages the project, delivering affordable rents and capital improvements to the apartments. The program is terminated at an agreed future date (7-10 years depending on the pool) and the buildings sold. Investment capital with any potential gains are returned to the investors.
Private Equity Portfolio
When an investor participates in a private equity portfolio, they join other investors to fund the purchase of a private company and/or financial position in a private company. Multiple investments are made within each pool to diversify the risk and positions are sold at a future date as appropriate. Qube seeks to realize value on investments within a 5-10 year investment window. While capital is invested in the private company it is illiquid. Investment capital with any potential gains is either disbursed to investors at the time of sale or intermittently through special dividends.
